Victoria Gardens is an active adult community where wellness is a way of life. Residents enjoy a vibrant fitness program designed to suit all interests and activity levels. The community’s modern fitness center is complemented by a full schedule of group classes — from age-appropriate boot camps and low-impact aerobics to Body Blast, a popular full-body workout for those seeking a challenge. For a more mindful approach, residents can unwind and build balance with Tai Chi, Sound Meditation, Pilates, and Zumba. Whether you’re looking to stay fit, make friends, or simply have fun, Victoria Gardens offers something for everyone.

We have a roster of weekly fitness classes, open to all residents. The description of each class will help you decide if that is the class for you. The activities of most classes can be modified for any fitness level. Most classes are free of charge and don’t require a reservation.

· Boot Camp: This is a fun circuit-style class using body weight and non-traditional exercises to help lose weight and gain strength.

· Gym Fundamentals: Our instructor creates a personalized introduction to strength training using the Clubhouse Gym. The instructor will familiarize you with all the machines and teach you proper adjustments and proper form when using machinery.

· Fitness Connection: A class designed to address all levels of fitness in one exciting hour! The hour will be divided into twenty-minute periods that include: Cardio, Resistance Training, incorporating weights and tubing, and Relaxation including balance, core, flexibility, and range of motion. This class encourages participants to challenge themselves while offering modifications so each resident can work at his/her own level.

· Low Impact Aerobics: Combines movement and music to improve your cardiovascular and muscular strength with a standing, dynamic workout. Upper and lower body strength work, as well as balance and flexibility are incorporated.

· Pilates: A unique form of simple, precise and effective exercise. Pilates exercises strengthen the joints and muscles used in everyday activities like walking, sitting, twisting, bending, and lifting.

· Stretch And Breathe: Designed to improve and enhance body conditioning, toning, flexibility, stability, and balance of the entire muscle skeletal system through the utilization of breath and blend of different exercise modalities.

· Tai Chi: Helps promote balance, flexibility, stamina and endurance. The health benefits range from lower blood pressure, memory enhancement, detoxification and joint health.

· Sound Meditation: Join us for a calming Sound Meditation class, where you'll relax and restore through healing vibrations from crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes. Let the sounds guide you into a deep meditative state, releasing stress and balancing your mind and body.

· Zumba: Join our light to moderate Zumba class for a fun, invigorating workout that blends easy-to-follow dance moves with uplifting music for a low-impact, high energy workout. Perfect for all fitness levels, this class will help you break a sweat, boost your energy, and leave with a smile!

· Body Blast Ex: This high energy, full-body workout is short, efficient, and FUN! It's perfect for all fitness levels from novice to advanced with modifications to match your needs.

· Aquatic Group Exercise: Challenge yourself in a low to high impact water aerobics class. Push against the resistance of the water to build strength and endurance, balance and coordination in a supportive environment.

· Silver Sneakers: Moving to music both standing and sitting in a chair while going through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living.

Team Sports

In addition to fitness classes, we also have organized team sports on our lighted tennis and pickleball courts. Challenge friends to a match on the professionally maintained tennis and pickleball courts. These popular amenities are the hub of friendly competition and great exercise-perfect for beginners and seasoned players alike. These are loosely established groups that meet multiple times throughout the week and offer different levels of play to suit the most avid athlete.

Tennis

· Open Play (Singles and Doubles). The courts are open all day (weather permitting) and open play is available when organized events are not scheduled

· Organized Mixed Doubles Play

· Tennis Lovers Group

· Advanced Doubles

Pickleball

· Open Play The courts are open all day (weather permitting) and open play is available when organized events are not scheduled. The are specific times for Open Play for Women Only, Men Only and Mixed Play.

· Competitive Play for Women Only, Men Only and Mixed Play is an established roster of players who participate in tournament play within the community and outside.

Bocce. Players gather twice a week to play this ancient Italian lawn game. It's a strategic and accessible game for all ages and abilities, played on our sand courts.

Billiards. The Clubhouse has a billiards room with two billiard tables. The room is adjacent to the restaurant and bar to facilitate relaxation. This is only open play as the tables are available.

Table Tennis. There are two tables set up in the Clubhouse once a week for open, cordial play.

Water Volleyball. Water Volleyball is a fun and invigorating way to socialize and exercise. The group plays multiple times each week. The groups are loosely divided into a ‘learn to play’ group for those who want to learn what water volleyball is all about and a more advanced group of player. All residents are welcome
